The Eden project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Tate Modern are just a short drive away from this popular seaside town. So is Port Isaac, an unspoilt fishing village, where fresh crab and lobster can still be bought off the quay. A links golf course, an excellent ‘extreme’ sports academy for the energetic, or for more relaxing days, there is Jamie Oliver’s newly opened restaurant ‘fifteen’ in nearby Watergate Bay, Rick Stein’s at Padstow or the new Bay Spa at Fistral Beach.
Travelling to Pentire Mews is simplicity itself, either by air or by the excellent road links. Newquay airport is just 4 miles away, with daily flights to Gatwick, Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Dublin. The A30 and A39 ‘Atlantic Highway’ providing the main road access routes into the town. |
